Frequently Asked Questions

What is Floatation?

A floatation Pod, also called an Isolation Tank or Sensory Deprivation Tank, is a zero-gravity environment designed to help your mind and body relax, recover, and reset. When you begin your floatation therapy session, you’ll enter a clean and serene environment eliminating external stimuli.

What you’ll find in the float room:

  • A floatation tank filled with epsom salt and water solution to float

  • The 35 degree solution matches your skin temperature

  • A button to turn off the lights for complete darkness

  • A button to call a staff member if you have any problems

  • Soundproofing to limit external distraction

No light. No noise. No sound.

The  state of sensory relaxation achieved during a float session acts as a powerful therapeutic tool. Floatation rest offers countless benefits, both physical and mental:

  • Increased blood flow

  • Elevated dopamine and endorphins

  • Pain relief, stress reduction

  • Sleep schedule maintenance

  • Increased creativity

From athletes to biohackers, and even those battling mental illness, everyone is recognizing the life-changing power of frequent floating.

What do I need to bring?

Pretty much just yourself…..

We provide Earplugs, Shampoo, Shower Gel, Conditioner & Make-up Remover.

You can bring your own towel, however if it’s more convenient you can hire a towel from us.

Can I float if I have Hair Dye, Sray Tan, or Tattoo.

If you have recently coloured your hair, applied spray tan, or had a tattoo you should wait 3-4 weeks before floating.

Is the water changed after every float?

No, the water contains over 250kg of Epsom Salt making it virtually impossible for pathogens to flourish. In addition after every float a cleaning cycle is run using UV & Catalytic treatment along with Micro filtration and H2O2 dosing.

We’re pretty sure if it wasn't so salty you could drink the water.

Please dont though…..

Can I float if I’m pregnant?

Floating is considered safe whilst pregnant from 13-30 weeks and can provide welcome relief from the effects of gravity.

However should you have any health conditions or concerns please consult your doctor.

Can I float during my period?

Just the same as swimming if you can control the flow no problem.
